The federal tax credit for new furnaces and heat pumps ended for systems installed after December 31, 2025. Local utilities still pay rebates, including up to $750 from Cedar Falls Utilities for qualifying dual-fuel systems, plus MidAmerican Energy and Alliant Energy programs.
